My experiences have taught me many valuable lessons and skills including a strong work ethic, taking pride in my work, meeting deadlines, the importance of being a good leader, good communication, efficiency and cleanliness, creativity and resourcefulness.  I feel that I’ve matured to the point where I can be relied on to carry my load with a great attitude and help other team members as well.  I’m flexible and adaptable.  I am physically capable, able to handle tasks requiring strength, coordination as well as operating heavy equipment.  I have always loved the water and all things ocean.  It has been my dream to work on any ocean going vessel and use my abilities to accomplish this goal.

OBJECTIVE:

I am looking for a deckhand or a second engineer position aboard a Commercial shipping vessel, Commercial fishing vessel, Charter fishing, Ferry boat, or any large Tug boat.

BOATING EXPERIENCE:

Deck hand – Caribbean Explorer, M/V, live aboard dive vessel. 30days, 12-16 hrs a day.

      Life Time – Michigan, Great Lakes

      Received boaters licensed at age 12

      8 Years, twice per month:  Active with the Detroit Yacht Club

      (Summer sail boat racing, 20-40ft)

      2007-2009 – North Carolina:

      Active at Lake Willey Yacht Club and Lake Norman Yacht Club

      (Seasonal sail boat racing, 20-40ft)
